 MARCH 2021

Welcome March!

After a wintery February, everyone will be happy to welcome spring! The Village has been busy planning multiple events for spring and summer!

Please make sure to see the additional sheet that includes ALL the upcoming events. We are looking for volunteers for all these events. Volunteer as a family or if you have a group looking for a project, please contact the Village!

Also, remember that the Village Community Center is open and available to be rented! Whether it be a birthday party, baby shower or a full catered wedding reception, we have the space for it! You can call the office with any questions or to set up a time to tour the Community Center.

THANK YOUS!

The Village was happy to hear multiple reports of our residents doing good deeds! The heavy snow that moved in Feb. 15 started to really pile up quickly! We received many compliments that anonymous neighbors were plowing drives! That is what small “Village” living is about! Keep up the GREAT WORK! The Village and residents appreciate it!!!

217 AREA CODE

The Illinois Commerce Commission has approved the addition of the 447-area code to the region served by the 217-area code. Since there will be 2 area codes serving our region, it will be necessary to dial or enter the full number, including the area code. ON ALL CALLS!

As of February 27th, you must include the area code on all calls being made. If you do not your call will not go through, and a recording will instruct you to hang up and dial again with the area code.

BRUSH COLLECTION

WEATHER PERMITTING

The Village will plan on having the first brush collection of the season on April 13th. This will ONLY be if weather is permitting! The brush will need to be out to the road, the maintenance dept. will not go on private property to get brush. Any branches and/or sticks need to be cut down to 4 ft. or smaller and bundled together
